phpBB Weekly’s Londonvasion Stream About to Begin
We’re just a few minutes away from the beginning of phpBB Weekly’s live stream of Londonvasion. You can use this badge to stream the episode live if you aren’t able to join in. Hope to see you there!
Londonvasion with the phpBB Doctor
phpBB Moderator Team member Dave Rathbun (drathbun) has been putting together some very detailed summaries of the Londonvasion sessions up on his blog. This includes a very nice summary of what was presented as some of the exciting new features coming up in phpBB 3.2, which should be interesting to a lot of people. Go check his blog out for some more great Londonvasion coverage!
Finding Londonvasion on the Web 2.0
Londonvasion Central may be a little low on contributors, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of the Web 2.0 can’t help us out! Here’s some quick links to find other people’s own Londonvasion coverage on the internets.
If you’re tweeting about Londonvasion on Twitter, be sure to use the hash tag #londonvasion when tweeting. You can find all tweets about Londonvasion to see what people are doing, particularly including our own Londonvasion Central contributor, Barry Carlyon.
Lots of other people are blogging on their own about Londonvasion; find them on Google Blog Search (which seems to be having better results than Technorati)!
In addition to the Londonvasion Discussion topic and the Londonvasion Updates topic including pictures from Londonvasion, those of you taking pictures and oploading them on Flickr, please use the tag londonvasion on your photos! You can find Londonvasion Photos on Flickr, and there will likely be many more appearing on there soon!
Londonvasion Live Updates Topic
Now that I’m awake and able to follow Londonvasion from my home base in San Francisco, we can get some more updates together, such as pointing out that there is a Londonvasion Live Updates topic where you can see the latest photos coming out of Londonvasion, chiefly being posted by David Lewis (Highway of Life) and Adam Reyher (AdamR).
Human Spam
So we are sat in Londonvasion, having just had lunch learning more about Spam and how to fight it.
The most important thing, about spam, that I will be taking away, is without Human Moderators the entire fight fails….
HERE!
So Londonvasion is here, and running.
Um ok, so its Not, starting at 10 instead, surprisingly few poeple are here so far.
Been nice to put faces to names and meet some team members.
Will report later…..
(acydburn is sat in front of me, woo)
A Spacecraft? Or BertieZilla 3.0?
An article on Gizmodo depicts some kind of crash landing that happened at Potter’s Field in London. Who knows what it is: some say it’s a crashed spacecraft, others say it’s a stunt for an automobile advertisement, but we all know what it really is. It’s the prequel to the beginning of the Londonvasion, which is only hours away as I type.

Thanks to iWisdom on phpBB.com for pointing this out.
Londinium
Unlike the phpBB team, I have been (un)lucky enough to be in London on my own today, whilst my host was working, did mean I got to see the Insides of the BBC World Service (tres Amazing).
So I ended up walking from Bush House, up to Buckinham Palace, then the South Bank of the Thames, to Tower Bridge, up past St. Pauls, to the Millenium Bridge and then the Afternoon was spent in Tate Modern “expanding ones’ horizons” pictures will be available…..later
So now time for tea, round to my hosts friends, and then the conference tomorrow.
Check out my twitterings: http://twitter.com/barrycarlyon/ and LondonVasion tagged tweets @ http://www.twitstat.com/cgi-bin/view.pl?search=londonvasion
More tomorrow ![]()
More Photos from the Team Members
The team members have been having more meetings today, and despite the fact that they’re dealing with some really, really slow internet, they’ve been somehow managing to keep uploading pictures. The latest set lets you see some more of the various team members–interesting when you’re seeing their real faces instead of their avatars, eh?
The new photos start here and continue on throughout the topic. Most of the credit for the photos goes to David Lewis (Highway of Life) and Adam Reyher (AdamR).
The Team Members Gather…
Many of the team members have already made it to London, where they will be having planning meetings and other discussion taking place on Saturday. David Lewis posted some first-day pictures on phpBB.com which you can check out to see some pics of the hotel and of some of the phpBB team members.
