Contributors

The coverage provided by Londonvasion Central is made possible by a number of contributors who volunteered their time and energy to help cover this historic event. Here is a short bio on each of them.

Douglas Bell is a student from San Francisco, California (USA). He is known on phpBB.com as Fountain of Apples, and on most of the rest of the internet as webmacster87. He is the co-host and producer of the phpBB Weekly podcast. Douglas has actively participated on many forums in the past, has been an administrator/moderator on many forums, and has also written many phpBB MODs. His past MODs include such titles as Advanced Version Check and ACP User Registration which have been used and applauded by many phpBB administrators. Douglas was a member of the phpBB MODifications Team during November 2005-August 2006 as a MOD validator. He has lots of experience with phpBB2 and is slowly but surely getting familiar with phpBB3. Douglas is also an active blogger, and his blog is located at Webmacster87.info.

Barry Carlyon currently studies at at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, and is the Head of Web Development at Leeds Student Radio. He spends most of his time mucking around with code and APIs, or else lurking in #phpbb, #phpbb-mod, or ##phpbb-chat on IRC as bcarlyon or barrycarlyon. He has experience with several languages, including Perl, PHP, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript. His website is http://barrycarlyon.co.uk/. David Lewis is a software engineer from Spokane, Washington (USA) and is also a member of the phpBB MOD Team, which he has been since July 2007.. He is known on phpBB.com and most other websites as Highway of Life. He has a lot of experience with phpBB3 and wrote some of the first MODs for phpBB3, and now boasts over two dozen MODs. He is also the co-founder of the phpBB3-oriented Star Trek Guide/phpBB Academy community forums.
